i C.A.R.E. is an acronym for our Core Values at Crocker Farm: Cooperation, Accountability, Respect, and Empathy. They are taught by teachers and can be seen in classroom spaces and hallways.
ii We used the Delaware School Climate Survey is an assessment taken by students, staff and parents; it was designed by Dr. George Bear and can be found at http://www.delawarepbs.org/. The EBS (Effective Behavior Support) survey was created by Dr. Sugai and Dr. Horner and can be found at http://isd742.org/pbis/EBSSurvey.pdf. The SET (Schoolwide Evaluation Tool) designed to assess and evaluate the critical features of school-wide effective behavior support across each academic school year; it can be found at http://www.pbssurveys.org/resources/SET_v2.0.pdf.

iv CICO stands for the Check-in, Check Out system, which uses mentors to support students with being able to meet behavioral benchmarks based in the core values. It is an evidence-based intervention for students who are not consistently meeting behavioral expectations and uses a data system to track performance over time.
v PD stands for Professional Development, which are activities that support growth in skills and expertise.
vi PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. PBIS isa decision making framework that guides selection, integration, and implementation of the best evidence-based academic and behavioral practices for improving important academic and behavior outcomes for all students.
vii We are partnering with Dr. Sara Whitcomb, professor of school psychology, on our PBIS work. She has expertise in this area and is supporting us both in a consultative role as well as supplying graduate students to be in our school.
